Generate Support Data

Generate Support Data creates a block of encoded characters that LightBurn Support staff can use to view information on your LightBurn Preferences, Device Settings, and other important installation information.

This data helps our support agents diagnose and resolve issues you are experiencing with LightBurn. Include your Support Data when you send an email to LightBurn Support.

Warning

Never post your Support Data publicly.

Generating and Sending Support Data

Go to HelpGenerate Support Data to copy an automatically-generated block of encoded characters to your clipboard. The clipboard is the temporary storage location your computer uses when you copy and paste items.

LightBurn will return a message indicating that the data has been successfully copied.

Support Data Generated

Open an email to support@lightburnsoftware.com and press Ctrl / Cmd+V to paste the data into the body of the email.

Please also provide the following to help our agents diagnose your issue:

  • A detailed explanation of the issue you are having.
  • Screenshots of any error messages or unexpected behavior you are seeing. See here for instructions on how to take a screenshot.
  • The specific model of laser you're working with.
  • Whether it is your first time setting up and using your laser with LightBurn, or you had been working with it successfully for some time before this issue occurred.
  • The .lbrn2 project file you are working or testing with, attached to the email. If you're having an issue importing a file in a different format, please attach that file.
